Uncle Mark asks:

“You’ve just been given one million dollars to make the world a better place, how would you accomplish that?”

Donate a lot to charity.  I really don’t know, because there is so much you could do with a million dollars.  Adopt a child so that there’s one less lonely person.  Give to the hungry.  Help in places where natural disasters struck, or help refuges find new homes.  I have decided that to compromise, I would give to several charities, like Greenpeace or Red Cross and Can Drives and Homeless Shelters.  I have three main places I would donate to:  The Humane Society, Red Cross, and Homeless Shelters that have a lot of people that come to it.
I would donate to the Humane Society because I love animals and adopting an animal and having it can be very positive and fun.  I love my kitty cats.  Also, donating to the Humane Society will make sure that less animals are put down.  I’d hate to have to put down an animal just because there is not enough room for it.
I would donate to Red Cross because they help people in different situations like fires, earthquakes, and tornados.  It doesn’t just help people who, let’s say are victims of a tsunami there’s a variety of problems that the Red Cross helps deal with, and they provide medical attention and food and shelter.
But unfortunately, I don’t have a million dollars.  A billion would be nice too.  I can still do a can drive, or a penny drive though.  Hmmm, what else could I do?  Volunteer, donate food and old clothes, recycle. . . There’s still a lot I can do without a million dollars.

Mrs. Sandra asks:

“If you could revisit any decade past which would it be and why?”
I don’t know what decade this happened in, but I’d like to go back to when the first man was on the moon. I’d like to go to because I want to see the first man on the moon and see how the NASA technology changed from then to now.
I want to see the first man land on moon because I want to see what the moon looks like. I also want to see it from their perspective, seeing it for the first time instead of seeing it for the? time. They’d say it was awe inspiring because this was literally the first time. Ever. I’d love to feel what they did, the weightlessness and everything else.
I want to compare the technology so I can see the technology advancement between times and how we made it better. [Plus it might help with any tests. And anything that has to do with the NASA or the first trip to the moon.]
I would visit the decade the man went to the moon.

Aunt Nor asks:

“What would be your dream come true fun?”
Scuba diving. I don’t know why but I really want to go scuba diving. It’s like……. Well I’ve seen those nature shows and that planet earth series which has a feature of the oceans. It sounded really cool talking about the reefs and fish. I’d love to see the bright colors and reefs, plants and other things.
I want to scuba dive because I’d get to see animals in the wild instead of in an aquarium. Even though it’s dangerous, I would love to swim with jelly fish, a whale shark or just a whale in general. I could experience what some people say is the best thing ever. I’m  not sure about breathing, but whatev. (Plus Luke went scuba diving with one of his camps. (Not the see stuff kind.) He said it was cool.
I really love the sensation of snorkeling, and I imagine it would be ten times better scuba diving. It’s something I want to try and do, and since I really enjoyed snorkeling, I want to scuba dive.

Aunt Jenna asks....

“You can have dinner with anyone from history alive or dead.  Who will you have dinner with and what will you discuss.  BTW what’s for dinner?”

I would have dinner with j.k. Rowling. I’d like to know what she thought about the movies, like was she okay with the changes, or which one is her favorite. I’d also ask her about who her favorite author when she was growing up and if she ever wished it was going to be a movie. I’ll probably ask what her favorite color, place, book, movie, and animal are. Other things I’ll ask include what her favorite book she wrote and what was her favorite pet she had/has. We’d have baguette and stuffed shells [Uncle Ben’s are the best!] for dinner.

Mrs. Liz asks...

“If you could team 2 characters up from totally different books, who would they be, and how would you get them together?”

I have a couple pairs I would make, because I like several heroes\ heroines, and there are several character combinations that could be arranged, like:
*      Artemis fowl and Percy Jackson from Artemis fowl and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
They are both intelligent, but one is smarter. Percy is better at fighting and they both have traversed the world. I could imagine how much of a difference they could make. One of them could save the world. Both of them could make it.
If I had to get them together, it’d be easy. I could probably send Percy on a quest to do something, and it just so happens that Artemis has what he needs. But in exchange Percy has to…………. [Insert what Percy has to do.] The craziest partnership is born.

*      Amy and Sabrina from 39 clues and sisters Grimm
Both have to deal with saving their little sibling, and one knows their parents are dead. [Sabrina’s parent’s are in an enchanted sleep.]they’ve both been faced with many enemies such as the scarlet hand, the man in black, jack, prince charming, Irina, Alistair , moth, and others. They think that they are only trying to tell everyone the truth but they’re sometimes wrong. Sabrina and Amy hunt for things. Amy hunts for clues, and Sabrina hunts for the cure to save her parents. They are alike in many ways.
I need to go back in time when Sabrina goes to New York with puck. There may or may not have been a clue in New York but I don’t know. So Amy and Sabrina run into each other. I’m not sure that I know what happens next, but oh well.

I could go on and on, so I picked the two favorite combinations. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could create book characters using character combinations like genius and freaky superpowers like mibs? [Savvy]

Mrs. Jori asks:

“It is your turn to pick the movie for family movie night.  Which movie would you choose and why?”

If we get to go out to the movies. . . I would say harry potter and the deathly hollows part two. I have three reasons. It’s the conclusion to a series, and it‘s a new movie we haven’t watched yet. Also, I want to see if they made any changes like skipping a minor part. Expecto patronum!

If we are staying home. . . At home, it depends what mood I’m in and what I’ve been doing.  If I’m in a bad mood I’d probably watch animaniacs, if I read Percy Jackson, I’d probably watch percy Jackson, you get the idea;  there’s  so  many movie combinations and choices it’s not funny.

If we are having an at home drive-in and there’s a double feature. . .  I’d change it to a triple feature so I could watch all three pirates of the Caribbean movies. I’d do that so we could go see the fourth one, the fountain of youth or something. [Plus we haven’t watched them in a really, really, really long time.] So any way, if it had to be a double feature, I would pick the third and first one. The third one because……. Well, it is the third one. Don’t you whenever you’re going to watch a new installment in a series want to catch up?  I say the first because I like the second and first the same, and when I did eenie meenie miney moe, it won.

If it is the Netflix movie…then it’s usually Naruto or Star Trek.  We have been watching The Full Metal Alchemyst.

Speaking of movies, after I write this I get to watch one! Hmmmmm… eeny meeny miney moe…..

Aunt Sarah asks....

”If you could enter the world of a book which book would it be? And who/what would your character be like and do in the story?”

Hmmmmmmmmmm. This is actually a show, but I think it would be neat to be first mate in one of the ships like the enterprise in star trek: the next generation. Then I could check out the holodeck, the turbo lift, [I know that sounds dumb, but I want to go on it.]Plus lead the away team. And it kinda fits the question if you could enter the world of a book; their mission is to explore new worlds. I’d want to be like Deanna in the sense of her race, which can read feelings. I like animals and I’m fun and creative. My character is basically me.[ grown-up and in a later time period.]

The storyline of star trek is the problems that the ship& crew encounter, like borg, Q, ferengi, and romulans. The episode would have to be about the enterprise, so maybe the ship goes for repairs that are supposed to be quick, like the camper repairs, and suddenly a emergency meeting is called. The ship isn’t repaired, so they (Jordi, Data, Riker, Piccard, Worf, and Troi.) Have to take a different ship. My ship. The rest of the episode is the random glitches, and how me, Jordi and some other people fix the ship when it breaks down, and get to the emergency meeting.

Mrs. Sue asks.....

“Liv, if you were granted a trip around the world…where would you stop and what kinds of things would you want to see and do?’’

This is a list of places and one reason why I want to go there. It starts and ends in Michigan, my home.

  • · Venice. I would <3 to ride in a gondola. [<3 is a heart, which = love]
  • · Australia. The Great Barrier Reef! (I can see you, little fishy.)
  • · Greece. So many wonders! Like the Parthenon. . .
  • · Rome. Look above this line. Except instead of the Parthenon the Colosseum
  • · Hawaii. Did you see me nail that wave?
  • · Paris. I’m at the top of the Eiffel tower!
  • · Switzerland. Skiing 101+ chocolate = yyyyyyyuuuuuuummmmm.
  • · La Petite Pierre, France. It’s La Petite Pierre. I can’t give an exact reason why I liked it there but I want to go back.
  • · Oceanus. I don’t know where this is but they go there in The 39 Clues.
  • · Other random stuff I’d like to do on my trip but don’t know where: roller coasters, climb a mountain, go in a shark tank, deep sea dive, go to Brazil, ride a camel in the desert, see lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards, and about every other animal in the wild. [Not including the rare specimen of brothers, which some wish didn't exist. Oops, who’d go in the pool with me when dad’s not home? Maybe not.]
  • Alright, I just listed everything that popped into my head. But if I went on this trip, I think it might be a bit fun.

Breanne asks:

“What book are you excited to read, over the summer?”

This is a question I don’t know the answer to. I’m not a publisher, [but my friend made up jobs for us and I got stuck with being an editor.L. I could have been a rock star!] So I don’t know what‘ll come out. I do kinda have a wish list of books, like a 4th hunger games. Why? a. Because the third one has my favorite last sentence, there are worse games to play, and b. Suzanne Collins is an awesome writer of books. There are several that I know aren’t coming out without anything short of a miracle, such as an eleventh ranger’s apprentice, because he’d have to kill halt, or a sixth fable haven. The guy clearly stated he wasn’t going to write another one. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Some books I can see coming out, like a second lost hero. I sincerely wish that the sorceress would come out, along with the 7th last apprentice. Whatever books I find at the library, I’m sure that I’ll be excited to read them.

Sara asks:

“Liv, I know that you love animals. What would you like your next pet to be? What makes that animal the right one for you?”

Even though sky, the cats, and Apollo wouldn’t agree, I would love to get a Nature’s Kennel puppy.[ But a big dog would do.] Whenever we go up north and Aunt Tasha has puppies, I love to play with them and pet them. I also love to run with the adult dogs along the trail. They do come in different patterns, colors, and sizes, so I’d have no trouble at all finding one I like. Plus I get along with most dogs, and because they are so strong, a team of them can carry Aunt Tasha, dad, Luke, me and a sled. [I’m not sure that’s the full extent. Aunt Tasha, this is a question for you or anyone else who knows. What is the total number of pounds they can carry?] There is a problem though; I’d have trouble walking it once it gets big. But I guess I could have somebody walk it with me. In case I do ever get one; I doubt it, but I have two names. Comet and Jupiter. All in all I’d love to get a Nature’s Kennel puppy.

Mrs. Kristyn asks....

“Who is your favorite book character of all time?”

QUICK MOM NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE HUNGER GAMES AND CATCHING FIRE-DO NOT READ THIS! AND IF I MAY, IF YOU HAVE NOT, YOU REALLY SHOULD......

That is literally impossible to answer. First off, I’ve read so many books that every time someone asks that question, I answer differently. A remedy would be just list characters that are my favorites out of many favorites. [ right now . ha-ha harry potter. You’re not on the list.] Here they are!

#1and2

Katniss and Rue from the Hunger Games by Suzanne Colins.P.S. Spoiler! Do not read the word in parentheses if you haven’t read the second book. Don’t read this at all if you haven’t read the hunger games. Katniss I admire for living through the hunger games [twice] and that the fact that she didn’t grow up well but learned how to shoot a bow and arrow and support her family. I admire her humanity for making sure she wouldn’t kill peeta and deciding that they would either kill themselves so not to kill their friend, or get half way through with the deed and stop because the people decided that yes, there could be two winners of the hunger games . rue I love because she survived so long, and she never really was a violent person and didn’t really try to kill the other people. rue was practically the only one who helped katniss in the game. Rue even helped after her death, because she motivated katniss to win the hunger games because she reminded her of prim and the fact that she was a innocent girl who was chosen to participate in the hunger games like katniss.

#3and4

Artemis fowl and Holly from the Artemis fowl series by eoin colfer. The warning is the same as last time except for the little parentheses thing. I’ll start with Artemis. Criminal mastermind, rich, smart aleck, hacker, genius, and technology freak who believes in fairies. What’s not to like? He’s your average 12-year old. I envy Artemis for being a genius and being able to be involved with the fairy tale creatures. [Not so much for his encounters with trolls.] I like Artemis because he is awesome. Now on to Holly, she may be a bit rule breaking, but she’d do anything for Julius ‘beetroot ‘’root. Holly is a good (?) role model of a determined person because she really really is not going to let Julius tell her she’s not on the squad. Plus she’s an elf!

More: Kendra, Seth, and the rest of the fable haven crew, 39 clues peeps, and so many others.

June 20, 2011-You ask, Livi answers

Bumpa asks “ Livi-If you were hired as an activities director and had to create the menu for a cruise ship to the Mediterranean, what activities would you plan and what would be on the menu?”

First off, there would be two menus [three if you count kids.’] Vegetarian menu starts off with salad, bread, or fruit & veggies as appetizers. Next is the seafood, which features salmon, cod, white fish, clam, shellfish, tuna, and fish you can catch yourself. [One of the activities is fishing.] The third option would be pastas like ravioli, manicotti without meat, and just plain pasta. [Sauce and cheese optional.] The second to last segment is dessert, starring ice cream, a make-your-own-sundae bar, cookies, brownies, and our very own oil cake. [Courtesy of nana.] The last part is drinks. Slushy,[cherry, banana, strawberry, mango, and others are the exotic flavors you can mix.] Sodas come as dr.pepper, sprite, coke, cherry coke, vernor,s diet coke, diet vernors, diet dr. pepper, mountain dew and diet mountain dew.

The second menu is practically the same except there is another course which has meat like hamburger, pork loin, steak and others. The kids menu is just in smaller proportions, and it doesn’t serve diet soda and mountain dew.Instead they have juice and milk.

For the morning activities,we’re having a putt-putt and tennis competition, free swim, surfboarding and swimming lessons, and snorkeling. We’ll also stop the boat for a bit, so a ideal time to swim with dolphins is then. Afternoon activities include: fishing, whale watching [kidding maybe. It’s really bird watching.] karoke and dance, music lessons, and much more await on the princess Andromeda.
