Olivia's Book Reviews and Luke's Graphic Novel

The report cards have finally come in and both kids did very well! We decided that a healthy dose of math was needed all around, so the workbooks are being ordered. For the writing projects, Olivia decided to write a daily book review and Luke is working on a page a day of a graphic novel.

Luke spent today researching Japanese mythology, names, and general information about Samurais for his novel. When he gets the panels done, I will try to post them.

Here is Olivia's review:

"Percy Jackson and The Sword of Hades"
The author of this short story is Rick Riordian. It is from a book called Percy Jackson and The Demigod Files. This book is about when Percy, Thalia, and Nico go to the underworld. They go to the underworld to retrieve the sword of Hades. The sword of Hades was stolen from the forges.

I liked this story because it was funny. My favorite part was when Percy meet Ithas. My second favorite part was when they found Ethan. I didn't lik that they were tricked. In the begining of the sotry when Percy meets Thalia, she asks him if he wants to get something to eat. And then at the end, she asks him if he wants a cheeseburger. And Percy says "youre still hungry after that?" I thought it was funny.
